K'nex Steeples

During children's time, we encouraged the construction of steeples from a K'nex building set. We began with a short discussion of what defines a steeple (tall architectural structure, has a special purpose, attached to a church, usually has a cross on top), and why they exist (an upward focus, reaching toward God, visible in the community). Creative and unique designs appeared, and we have pictures of the creations here.

It was great for the children to see a connection between technology and art (architecture) and to also see it applied to a spiritual purpose.
